New Cancer Diagnoses
Breast Screening and Biopsies
When a section of breast tissue is biopsied, it is sent to a pathologist for review. The pathologist sends a report back to our office that gives a diagnosis for each sample taken. If the pathology report is benign, Dr. Sandford will discuss your options for future care and potentially suggest that you resume routine follow-ups. If your biopsy shows any abnormalities, additional workups may be necessary in order to determine the most appropriate plan of care.
